At Danaille’s Dance Academy, we offer a hands on comprehensive ballet program designed for dancers of all levels. From the first plié to advanced en pointe, our classes provide a solid foundation in classical technique while fostering creativity and individual expression. Our ballet program is designed to teach students the correct terminology, technique, and precise movements specific to classical and neoclassical ballet. 

  • Beginner Ballet: Perfect for those new to the art form, our beginner/intermediate classes combined  focuses on building fundamental skills, including posture, balance, and basic steps. Students will learn to appreciate the beauty of ballet while developing coordination and confidence.
  • Ballet I/II: This is a great class for dancers with some ballet experience, this class refines technique and introduces more complex movements and choreography. Emphasis is placed on improving strength, flexibility, and the ability to perform with grace and precision.
  • Ballet III: Our advanced classes challenge experienced dancers with intricate combinations and demanding exercises. Here, students work on perfecting their technique, expanding their repertoire, and exploring the artistic and expressive elements of ballet.

Pointe work represents the ultimate expression of classical ballet, combining skill, strength, and grace to create the illusion of dancing effortlessly on the tips of the toes.

  • Preparation-Proper preparation is crucial for successful pointe work. Our program emphasizes building the necessary strength and alignment through foundational ballet training. Students must demonstrate a solid grasp of basic ballet techniques and develop the strength and flexibility needed for pointe work.
  • Pointe Technique-Our experienced instructors provide comprehensive training in pointe technique, focusing on correct alignment, balance, and safe practices. Dancers learn how to achieve and maintain stability on pointe while performing various steps and combinations.
  • Safety and Care-Safety is a priority in our pointe program. We educate dancers on proper shoe fitting, foot care, and injury prevention to ensure a healthy and sustainable approach to pointe work. Our instructors provide personalized feedback and adjustments to support each dancer’s individual needs.

Progressive Ballet Training/Floor Barre

An innovative program designed for students to understand the in-depth training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet. This class is done using yoga mats, exercise balls and an assortment of equipment to strengthen and control dancer bodies. A fun twist on classical ballet barre.


Jazz Technique

Jazz Technique

Jazz will combine techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. Students will notice increased strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance when participating in Luigi/Giordano technique class.

  • Beginner Jazz: This class introduces the foundational elements of jazz dance, including basic positions, steps, and terminology. Students will learn simple routines to develop coordination, rhythm, and musicality. Emphasis is placed on understanding body alignment, improving flexibility, and building confidence in moveme
  • Intermediate Jazz (Jazz I/II): Designed for dancers with a basic understanding of jazz technique, this class focuses on refining skills and expanding movement vocabulary. Students will work on more complex combinations, turns, leaps, and jazz isolations. Emphasis is on enhancing performance quality, musicality, and developing a stronger technical foundation.
  • Advanced (Jazz III): This class is for experienced dancers looking to challenge themselves with intricate choreography and advanced techniques. Focus is on perfecting technical skills, increasing strength and flexibility, and exploring various jazz styles. Students will engage in intensive drills, complex combinations, and performance-based routines to refine their artistry and stage presence.


HIP HOP

This class is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of hip-hop. This class will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Students will begin learning hip hop fundamentals and discover their own hip hop style in a stress free and fun environment, encouraging confidence building, independent creativity, and teamwork.

  • Musicality: Understanding and interpreting different hip hop rhythms and beats.
  • Technique: Developing clean and precise movements.
  • Style: Encouraging individual expression and unique style.
  • Performance: Building confidence and stage presence.

ACROBATIC ARTS

Jazz Technique

Acro: We follow the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus commonly referred to as Acro. Acro is the fusion of classic dance technique, with the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, all based on flexibility, contortion and strength.

Required attire:
Level 1/2/3: Banded leg leotard found at the studio Primary: leotard with shorts, no skirts
Hair: must be pulled away from the face

Unleash your rhythm and groove with our dynamic Tap Dance class! Perfect for dancers of all levels, our class focuses on developing rhythm, coordination, and musicality through the art of tap.

  • Beginner Tap: Ideal for those who are new to tap dance. In this level, students will: learn basic steps and be introduced to fundamental steps like shuffles, taps, and flaps, build rhythm and develop a sense of timing and rhythm through simple exercises and routines, and focus on technique and establish proper posture, weight transfer, and coordination.
  • Intermediate Tap (Tap I/II): Perfect for those who have a grasp of basic tap steps and are ready to expand their skills. In this level, students will: expand vocabulary and learn more complex steps and combinations, including cramp rolls and drawbacks, improve musicality and work on syncopation and rhythm variations, enhancing timing and expression, and tackle more intricate routines that challenge coordination and creativity.
  • Advanced Tap (Tap III): For experienced dancers who are comfortable with a wide range of steps and techniques. In this level, students will: Master technique and perfect advanced steps such as time steps, wings, and advanced turns, explore improvisation and personal style while tackling complex rhythms and patterns, and prepare for high-level choreography and performance opportunities.

BITTY BALLERINAS / TINY TAPPERS

This engaging and fun class introduces young children to the basics of ballet and tap dance in a playful and nurturing environment. The class is designed to develop coordination, balance, rhythm, and motor skills through age-appropriate exercises and creative movement activities.

  • Ballet Segment:Children will learn basic ballet positions and movements, such as pliés, tendus, and simple jumps. The focus is on encouraging grace, posture, and creativity through imaginative play and storytelling. Props like scarves, ribbons, and wands may be used to make the experience more interactive and enjoyable.
  • Tap Segment:In the tap portion of the class, toddlers will explore basic tap steps like toe taps, heel digs, and shuffles. They will develop a sense of rhythm and timing by learning simple tap combinations and participating in fun rhythm exercises. The use of songs and playful themes keeps the children engaged and excited about learning.



"Mommy and Me" Music and Movement

 Join Miss Kenzie in a Montessori style "Mommy and Me" music/movement class, where you and your little one will embark on a musical adventure! This class is specially designed for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers to explore music through singing, movement, and instrument play in a nurturing and playful environment.

What to Expect:

  • Interactive Activities: Participate in a variety of activities including sing-alongs, rhythmic games, and simple dance movements that are fun and easy to follow.
  • Instrument Exploration: Experience different musical instruments such as drums, shakers, and xylophones, allowing children to discover sounds and rhythms.
